The Hutheesing Jain Temple was built in 1848 by Seth Hutheesing, a wealthy Jain merchant, in memory of his deceased wife, Harkunwar. The construction was overseen by a renowned architect, Premchand Salat. The temple is built of white marble and is dedicated to the 15th Jain Tirthankara, Dharmanatha. It is a testament to the Jain community's dedication to their faith and their patronage of art and architecture. The temple faced some challenges during its construction, including the death of Seth Hutheesing himself. However, his family continued the work, resulting in the beautiful structure that stands today as a prominent landmark of Ahmedabad.
