Sultanpur National Park - Where birds paint the sky!

Sultanpur's history as a bird sanctuary began in the 1970s, thanks to the efforts of Peter Jackson, a renowned ornithologist. Recognizing the area's ecological importance, he advocated for its protection. In 1972, the area was declared a bird sanctuary. Over the years, further efforts were made to improve the habitat and infrastructure. In 1991, it was upgraded to the status of a National Park, solidifying its importance as a protected area for birds and other wildlife. The park's evolution reflects a growing awareness of the need to conserve natural habitats and protect biodiversity in the face of increasing urbanization.
