Jamiya Masjid - History etched in stone!

The Jamiya Masjid was commissioned by Ali Adil Shah I of the Adil Shahi dynasty in the late 16th century, though it was not completed during his reign. It was later finished by his successor, Ibrahim Adil Shah II. The mosque was intended to be larger and more ornate than it is today, but construction was interrupted due to political instability and financial constraints. Despite this, the Jamiya Masjid remains an impressive example of Adil Shahi architecture.
