History
Hastinapur's history dates back to ancient times, primarily known as the capital of the Kuru dynasty in the Mahabharata. It was the center of power and intrigue, witnessing the epic battle between the Pandavas and Kauravas. Archaeological findings suggest the town's existence dates back to the Painted Grey Ware culture (1200-600 BCE). Over the centuries, Hastinapur saw the rise and fall of various empires.
