The Sankat Mochan Mandir was established in the early 16th century by Goswami Tulsidas, the author of the epic Ramcharitmanas. Legend says that Tulsidas had a vision of Lord Hanuman at this very spot. He then established a small temple which later expanded into the present-day structure. The temple has been a significant center for Hindu religious and cultural activities ever since. It has faced challenges, including a terrorist attack in 2006, but the unwavering faith of devotees has kept it strong. The temple continues to be a symbol of hope and resilience, attracting visitors from all over the world who seek Hanuman's blessings and protection.
