Always love coming back to this beautiful Kali temple along the banks of the Hooghly river. Apart from being of great historical value and a revered place of worship, it is also architecturally gifted. One definitely feels at peace among the Kali and Shiv temples.

The Dakshineswar Kali Temple is a must-visit for its spiritual ambiance and historical significance. The architecture and energy of the place are incredible. However, there are some issues that could be improved. The entry system has multiple points that need better management. For keeping footwear and belongings, only cash is accepted—having an online payment option would be much more convenient for visitors. Additionally, be cautious of the monkeys; they can be quite a nuisance if you have food with you. The area under the metro bridge near the temple is a slum, which can detract from the experience. Addressing these issues would make the visit more pleasant.

This temple offers a serene and divine atmosphere, perfect for those seeking peace and tranquility. The temple premises are exceptionally clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall spiritual experience. There is ample parking space, making it convenient for visitors, with a nominal fee of Rs 10 per hour for two-wheelers. One of the highlights is the opportunity to enjoy bhog inside the temple for just Rs 100, though it's important to note that the tokens for bhog are only distributed until 9:30 AM, and on some days till 10:00 AM. For those looking to explore further, you can easily travel to Belur Math by ferry from the temple for just Rs 11 per person. This combination of convenience and spiritual ambiance makes the temple a must-visit for devotees and travelers alike. Overall, it’s a beautiful and divine place that leaves a lasting impression.
