Guru Gobind Singh (final resting place)
Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib in Nanded marks the place where Guru Gobind Singh passed away in 1708 after declaring the Guru Granth Sahib as the eternal Guru. The golden-domed inner sanctum (Angitha Sahib) stands over the spot of his cremation. It is among the holiest and most-visited Sikh shrines in central India.
Built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh between 1832 and 1837. Guru Gobind Singh ended the line of human Gurus here, elevating the Guru Granth Sahib to perpetual Guruship.
