Adinath (Rishabhanatha)
The Ranakpur Jain Temple, dedicated to Adinath, is one of the most magnificent Jain temples in India. Built in the 15th century from light-coloured marble, its Chaturmukha (four-faced) design features 1,444 intricately carved pillars, no two alike, and 29 halls. Set in a tranquil Aravalli valley, it is celebrated for its extraordinary craftsmanship.
Commissioned by Dharna Shah with the patronage of Rana Kumbha of Mewar in the 15th century; named after the ruler.
