Ganesha
Siddhivinayak at Siddhatek is the second stop in the Ashta Vinayak circuit and one of the most powerful, as it enshrines the only right-trunked (siddha-sohala) swayambhu Ganesha of the eight shrines. A right-curled trunk Ganesha is considered especially potent and auspicious. The idol's gold crown gleams against the black stone. The temple sits on a gentle hill overlooking the Bhima river. According to the Mudgala Purana, Lord Vishnu obtained his Sudarshana Chakra (divine discus) here after worshipping Ganesha — making this a singularly important site in Vaishnava tradition too.
The swayambhu idol is mentioned in the Mudgala Purana. Peshwa Hemadpanthi-style inscription stones and later contributions from the Peshwa government are recorded in temple archives.
