The Akshardham Temple in Jaipur was built by the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS). Construction began in 2000 and the temple was inaugurated in 2006. It is inspired by the Akshardham Temple in Delhi and follows the same architectural style and spiritual principles. The temple complex was built using traditional methods and materials, including pink sandstone and marble, reflecting the rich architectural heritage of Rajasthan. It serves as a significant center for devotion, education, and cultural preservation.
+ A must visit for the temple ambiance and structure built + Lovely place to visit everyday / once as tourist also + Garden around the temple within the premises is well maintained + Elderly people go for a walk around the temple in the evening + Coffee from coffee vending machine at the restaurant inside the temple premise tasted really very good. - Canteen or restaurant available on one end of the gate, though it looked so empty with no lights (dark) even at 18:00 by evening and no menu available. Just got coffee. - Rest room available at the corner of the premises is 1000 times worser than a public sulabh toilets in the city. Entered inside and rushed out even without using though it was urgent situation
The BAPS Akshardham Temple, located on Mehant Swami Marg in Chitrakoot. The temple's canteen, known as Premvati, serves high-quality food, along with a variety of sweets, juices, and shakes. I particularly enjoy their khaman dhokla and khichdi. During the aarti, it feels as though one is directly communicating with the divine, a truly spiritual experience. Is a truly magnificent place where one can experience profound peace. The temple offers parking just outside at no charge, though during large events like Janmashtami and other festivities, finding a spot can take some time. While there is no strict dress code, it is advisable to dress simply and modestly. On their official website, you can find comprehensive information about the aarti and various programs held at the temple. Jai Swaminarayan Bhagwan!
Peaceful place to visit with your family and friends. Food is also available pure vegetarian. There a separate shoe room provided. Parking is both inside and outside the temple. While visiting make sure not to visit on Tuesday, temple is closed.
Akshardham Jaipur is absolutely stunning! The temple’s intricate carvings and peaceful vibe make it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the city. The beautifully maintained gardens offer a serene atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. The evening light show is simply amazing, bringing the temple to life with vibrant colors and music. This cultural experience is definitely worth a visit for everyone!
