The original Shanta Durga Temple was located in Quelossim but was destroyed by the Portuguese in the 16th century. The current temple was rebuilt in Kavlem by the Marathas in the 18th century. I like this Shree Shantadurga Temple in Goa.. There is very fresh and energetic atmosphere.. There is very cooperative staff in office.. There is very peaceful area.. They are not allowed midi and shorts in temple is very good thing.. There is not allowed to take any photos of God in temple.. outside is okay..
If you are coming to Goa then must visit this temple. It’s beautiful place & temple looks so amazing. You will find Maa Durga Devi in this temple. Note : Please wear full clothes while entering the temple. For men & women. Shorts, one pice etc not allowed in this temple. YouTube/TravellerKP
