The Chokhani family, a prominent business family of the time, spared no expense in creating a residence that reflected their success. Over time, with the decline of traditional trade routes, many Marwari families migrated to larger cities, leaving their havelis behind. Fortunately, some havelis, including Chokhani Haveli, have been preserved and restored, offering a valuable glimpse into the region's rich history and artistic heritage.
